THYMUSKIN CLINICAL TRIALS

Thymuskin® has been available in Germany for many years but has more recently been introduced into the USA and many of the countries in Europe . During its development several clinical studies were published and we will now review their summaries.

In 3 clinical studies, many patients were assessed. They were suffering from Androgenetic Alopecia, Alopecia Areata and Alopecia Diffusa.

These studies clearly demonstrate that Thymuskin® can help sufferers decrease the daily loss of hair and regenerate new hair by re-growth; both in hair follicles that were in the telogen phase but also by re-activation of inactive/resting follicles. In all of these studies patients were treated with Thymuskin® Hair Treatment and Thymuskin® Shampoo.

Summary Of The Clinical Effects of ThymuSkin

In the tables below we can see summaries of the 3 studies and the results. In all of these studies Thymuskin® treatment was initially administered twice daily and shampoo was used daily. On the second application of treatment on each day, the hair was rinsed with water and shampoo was not applied.

Mossler K Study:
Type of Alopecia Sex Therapy Success (%)
Androgenetica (pattern baldness) Female
100 (over 9 months)
  Male
67 (over 9 months)
Areata Female
83 (over 12 months)
  Male
83 (over 12 months)
Diffusa Female
73 (over 6 months)
  Female
87 (over 12 months)

In regards to alopecia diffusa this study demonstrates that there is great benefit in continuing Thymuskin usage past 6 months to the 12 months period. An increase from 73% to 87% was seen when treatment continued to 12 months.

Mossler & Hagendom Study:
Type of Alopecia Sex Therapy Success (%)
Totalis/Universalis Male/Female
65 partial (over 9 months)

40% complete remission (upto 2 years)

Alopecia Totalis/Universalis is notoriously difficult to treat successfully and we feel that achieving a partial remission in 65% of patients after 9 months is excellent. Achieving complete remission (i.e. 100% success) in 40% of patients in the 9-24 month period is also excellent.
